Adriano on talent
“When people say I’ve got talent, I usually say, well I had some talent, I practised hard and now I’m alright. Is that talent or is that elbow grease? Jury’s out.”

“My dad’s a guitarist and handed me a guitar when I was young. His first reaction was, we need to find you a different instrument, son. Lucky he got me on the horns.
Even when you find a good fit, most people still have to work at it and I’m no exception to the rule”

“I walk around with my foot in my mouth, which is why I was nicknamed, The Adjitator and I come with a book of adjisms.
I am the kind of person when asked, “have I lost weight or is this a really good mirror?” I’ll respond with the truth, a little too hasty, “good mirror.” Haha a bit too honest!?”

A short clip video of former fellow ‘Acland Burghley Secondary School’ boys, good friends, and UB40 band mates, Winston Delandro, guitarist and Adriano Rossetti-Bonell, sax player - hanging out before a performance.
“I’m a London based sax player and I was classically trained at the Royal College of Music, just before I dropped out - it was a hard graft because it wasn’t a natural fit.
Back then, I became musically balanced because I went to Cuba and Venezuela and played with some incredible musicians - who taught me a thing or two.
I learnt a lot at the Weekend Art College (WAC) charity, under the late, great Ian Carr. Shout out to everyone who encouraged and supported me!
I’ve played with artists such as, Artful Dodger, Corine Bailey Rae, Bennie Blanco, All Stars, House diva Kathy Brown, KCC and the Rockin’ Crew, Uk Hip Hop legends Taskforce, Michelle Escoffrey, Blues Brothers Official, Steel Pan Fusion and Skatalites. I’m currently performing with UB40 ft.Ali Campbell.
I’ve performed at music festivals around the world and I’ve had a handful of music director gigs, too - which pushed my limits.”

Like most, I remind myself before I complain about first world problems.
I appreciate every day and don’t take a second for granted.
